Philosophy & Expertise
Individually tailored therapy sprinkled with empathy and humour.
With over 10 years experience, I am a registered Social Worker with the New Zealand Social Workers Registration Board (SWRB), the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), a member of the Professional Association for Transgender Health Aotearoa (PATHA), and a member of the Australia New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders (ANZAED).
As a mental health professional, my practice incorporates aspects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Strengths-Based Therapy, Solutions-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Mindfulness.
In my online therapy practice, I primarily work with people who want to work on issues with anxiety, depression, communication, setting boundaries, confidence, and self-esteem.

I also provide specialist evidence-based treatment for diagnosed eating disorders through the Zealand Eating Disorders Clinic (NZEDC) - information about this is available under Eating Disorder Treatment. All eating disorder therapy must go through NZEDC as this type of work requires specialist consult and care involving a robust multidisciplinary team.
